The symbol for Eagle is often used on for example coat of arms and flags. The image on the top left, is just an example and has no specific use. In other designs, the symbol is used in the US as great seal for official documents and pasports and on German coat of arms.
The eagle is known for different symbolic values. The most important is The king of birds which means power and victory and is i.e. used on ensigns of the Romans. The old Egyptians, indians and Azteks also used the eagle to express symbolic value. Today the eagle is used in a large number of flags, including the German and Egyptian flag.
The first use of the eagle as a symbol dates back to old cultures several thousand years before Christ. Probably the old Egyptians or een old Chinese dynasty.
