Symbool Hathor

This symbol represents the Egyptian goddess Hathor. Hathor was among others the goddess of love, music and beauty. The sign can be explained as the head of a cow with horns and between the horns the sun (or moon).

The symbol can be explained as the horns of a cow with the sun (or moon) between them, The cow represents caring and the sun probably represents Hathors father, the Sun god Ra. The same symbol is used for the Greek goddess of health, love and fertility, Isis. In different stories, Hathor as well as Isis are called mother of Horus.
